Hatha Yoga

Hatha Yoga combines “Ha” (sun: life force) and “Tha” (moon: still mind), to harmonise other polarities of energy to achieve balance. This class develops stable physical postures, conscious breath awareness (prāṇāyāma), and inner locks (Bandha) with the intention of bringing the body and mind to a state of balance, clarity and presence through disciplined, mindful repetition.

The Yoga Basics

This class is a gentle introduction for beginners, starting with subtle movements of the joints (sūkṣma vyāyāma) and a traditional modified set of sun salutations (Surya Namaskār), focusing on breath coordination (prāṇa saṅgati) and alignment. There will be developing awareness, strength, and calmness, which will lead to quiet moments of silence at the end of class to permeate from the practice.

Graceful Shoulders, Supple Hips (Level 1 & 2)

Centered on opening primary energy channels, this class helps to release physical tension in the shoulders and hips through traditional postures and breath work to equilibrate the greater physical states of stability (sthira) and ease (sukha), increase the flow of energy (prāṇa), and allow freedom of movement and emotional release, designed to conclude with restful, inner awareness.

Twists & Bends

This class centers on spinal flexibility (meru lachīlapan) and internal balance (āntarik santulan) through twisting (parivṛtti) and side bending (pārśva vakraṇa). These movements improve circulation (raktagati), expansion of breath (śvāsa vistāra), and posture (śarīra samsthiti), creating space to release muscular tension while supporting the healthy, resilient spine (meru sthiratā).

Pranic Flow

A vibrant, fast-paced class that is founded on traditional Hatha Yoga principles. It deepens pelvic opening and spinal mobility through shared Surya Namaskār (sun salutation) variations, with breath-led movement and strength. This flow ignites our inner heat (tapas) while balancing our power and presence, becoming deeply aware of the nature of a mindful, disciplined practice.

Core Strength

Focusing on the nābhi sthāna (navel centre), this class builds core integrity using postures (āsana), internal locks (bandha), and breath (prāṇāyāma). It engenders subtle strength, mental attention, and balances inner power (tapas), while committing to mindful alignment that stabilizes vital energy flow (prāṇa) through the central channel (Suṣumnā Nādī).

Tranquil Flow

Tranquil Flow provides gentle stretches, breathing practices (prāṇāyāma), and guided Yoga Nidra for nervous system regulation and deeper inner peace. This nurturing sequence creates space with mindful movement and breath, returning energy, mental clarity, and peaceful balance.

Intro to Backbends

Backbends awaken the spine (Meru Danda) the central pillar of our body to be a conduit for vital life energy (prana) and inner strength. This practice allows for a gentle opening and release of stored tension. In doing so, we welcome courage and impassioned heart expand while awakening the central channel (Suṣumnā Nāḍī), the energy centers along the way re-charging vital energy.

Basic Inversions

Inversions softly reverse energy (viparīta karani kriyā) toward inner quiet and higher awareness. Thoughtful breath, bandhas (energy locks), and other supportive holds are used in class to find balance; to explore trust. It is a practice of groundedness where effort is transformed into grace; and the body informs mouth.

Arm Balancing

This class builds arm strength (bāhu bala) and core stability (madhya sthiratā) through balancing postures (santulan āsana) and weight-bearing movements. These practices sharpen focus (ekāgratā), increase stamina (sahanśakti), and enhance body control (śarīra niyantraṇa), cultivating strength, balance, and confidence in your practice.

Restorative Yoga

This class cultivates deep rest (viśrānti) and inner stillness (āntarik śānti) through supported postures (upastambhita āsana) and mindful breathing (prāṇāyāma). These practices calm the nervous system (tantu tantra śānti), release muscular tension (snāyu viśrānti), and quiet the mind (citta prasāda), fostering relaxation, renewal, and balance in body and spirit.

Yin & Yang

Focusing on the nābhi sthāna (navel centre), this practice cultivates core stability and inner resilience through mindful āsana, engaged bandha, and conscious prāṇāyāma. It fosters subtle strength, heightened awareness, and harmonises inner power (tapas), while sustaining mindful alignment that directs vital energy (prāṇa) through the central channel (Suṣumnā Nādī).

Sunrise Flow

This morning practice awakens energy from the nābhi sthāna (navel centre), cultivating stability, vitality, and inner awareness through mindful āsana, gentle bandha, and conscious prāṇāyāma. Guided by breath and alignment, it kindles tapas (inner warmth) and refines the flow of prāṇa through the Suṣumnā Nādī, bringing clarity and balance to begin the day.

Sound Healing Classes

Rudrakshaa Yogashala is a refuge of sound – where ancient vibrations awaken things that have been forgotten within. In our roots of Nāda Yoga, the yoga of divine sound, you will not just hear the sound, you will experience it. Here, nāda is the vibrational frequency (step 1) that permeates (step 2) the body (śarīra), breath (prāṇa), and mind (manas) to melt structural tension and bring the soul moving back to its natural rhythm.

Tibetan bowls sacredly sing their language of light, guiding you through sound baths, chakra healing (chakra shuddhi), or full body singing bowl massages which awaken the nāḍīs, nausea subtle rivers of energy. As layers of noise are melting into silence and silence into stillness, you may feel a return or remembrance of the ancient and eternally present. Sound Bath

Sound Bath is a traditional healing practice where resonant instruments—such as Tibetan singing bowls, mani and naga bowls, gongs, rain sticks, ocean drums, Koshi chimes, and tingsha—are played in harmony to create a rich, immersive soundscape. As waves of sacred sound (nāda) wash over you, the mind quiets, tension dissolves, and subtle energies realign. This meditative journey invites deep relaxation, energetic cleansing, and a return to inner stillness.

Chakra Healing

Chakra Healing is a restorative journey through the saptachakras (the body’s seven energy center) guided by sound, meditation, and ancient techniques. As each chakra, from Mūlādhāra to Sahasrāra, is gently cleansed and activated, energy flows freely through the nāḍīs (subtle channels), bringing clarity, balance, and deep inner alignment. A practice of subtle transformation and spiritual renewal.

Singing Bowl Massage

Singing Bowl Massage is a deeply therapeutic experience where Tibetan singing bowls are placed directly on the body and gently played, allowing healing vibrations to penetrate into muscles, tissues, and energy fields. These sound waves travel through the body’s water content, releasing tension, calming the nervous system, and restoring energetic harmony. Tibetan Sound Healing

Aura Cleansing

Aura Cleansing is a subtle energy practice that purifies and harmonizes the prāṇamaya kośa—the energetic sheath surrounding the body. Using tools like Tibetan bowls, chimes, breathwork, or gentle movement, stagnant energy is cleared and the prāna (life force) is revitalized.
