Graceful Shoulders, Supple Hips

In the tradition of Hatha Yoga, the body is a sacred vessel—a yantra—through which energy flows. The shoulders and hips are gateways of both physical rigidity and emotional blockages. This class is a focused sādhana designed to unlock and open these vital areas through time-honored yogic methods.

We begin with shoulder-opening postures, dynamic drills, and conscious breathwork (prāṇa-saṅgati) to cultivate grace (saundarya) and spaciousness (ākāśa), freeing tension (saṅkoca) and encouraging flow through the anāhata chakra (heart center).

Then we turn to the hips—the foundation of stability and grounding—inviting mobility (gati) and softness (mṛdutā) linked to the mūlādhāra (root) and svādhiṣṭhāna (creative) chakras.
