CORE STRENGTH

As the week unfolds with spacious opening in the shoulders, hips, pelvis, and spine, Core Strength becomes the anchoring pillar of our practice — the space where awakened energy is gathered, centred, and stabilized. In the traditional lens of Haṭha Yoga, the core is more than just abdominal musculature. It is the Nābhi Sthāna (navel center), the energetic seat of Maṇipūra Chakra — the source of agni (digestive fire), tapas (inner discipline), and personal power.

This class is a focused sādhana (dedicated practice) into this inner fire. With a conscious blend of āsana, bandha (muscular locks), prāṇāyāma (breath control), and precise alignment, students explore the deeper layers of stability and strength. Foundational postures are integrated with intentional transitions and breath-led movement to activate the physical and energetic core.

Key practices such as Uddīyāna Bandha (abdominal lock) and Mūla Bandha (root lock) are introduced thoughtfully, guiding prāṇa upward through the Suṣumnā Nāḍī — the central energy channel along the spine.
