At Rudrakshaa Yogashala, our Sound Healing sessions use vibrational instruments to harmonise mind, body, and energy. Rooted in ancient yogic wisdom, this practice soothes the nervous system, eases stress, and nurtures well-being, guiding you back to a natural state of inner balance and peace.
Sound healing is an ancient practice, now increasingly supported by modern science, rooted in the understanding that all beings exist in a state of vibration. When the natural frequencies of your śarīra (body), manas (mind), and energy field fall out of sync, sound healing guides the system back into saˉmya (balance). Using sacred instruments, each tone acts as a tuning fork for the soul, realigning you with your innate harmony.
Modern research confirms sound’s power to shape and heal. The human body, a natural conductor for vibration, allows these sound waves to travel through tissue, restoring coherence at a cellular level. The profound effortlessness of this practice offers a direct passage into stillness. As you lie back and receive, nāda (primordial sound) becomes an anchor for your awareness, guiding you into a state of śānti (peace) and expanded presence.
A Sound Bath is a deeply immersive practice that invites you to rest, reset, and realign. Through a meditative soundscape created with Tibetan singing bowls, mani and naga bowls, gongs, rain sticks, ocean drums, Koshi chimes, and tingsha to create a rich, immersive soundscape. These overlapping tones and vibrations envelop the body and mind, gently guiding the practitioner into a state of deep relaxation and sāmya (energetic balance).
Each instrument carries its own resonance: the grounding hum of singing bowls, the expansive waves of a gong, the flow of rain and water from ocean drums, and the light, ethereal tones of chimes and bells. Together, they form a sonic field that supports the release of energetic blockages, calms the nāḍīs (energy channels), and encourages healing across physical, emotional, and subtle levels. The body, composed mostly of water, readily absorbs these vibrations—resonating through cells and tissues to balance the chakras, soothe the nervous system, and promote natural regeneration.
The benefits of regular Sound Baths are both immediate and long-lasting: reduced stress and anxiety, improved sleep, mental clarity, emotional release, and heightened states of awareness. They can support the immune system, regulate the breath and heart rate, and even assist with trauma integration by resetting the body’s stress response. Over time, practitioners may notice a deeper sense of inner harmony, presence, and spiritual connection.
No movement or prior experience is required. Simply rest in stillness and receive. Whether you seek inner balance or a pause from the noise of daily life, this sacred practice offers a profound return to nāda—the primal sound of the universe within.
Chakra Healing is an ancient vibrational practice that supports balance across the body’s seven energy centres—known as the saptachakras. When these centers are disrupted by stress or emotional strain, energy can become stagnant, affecting both physical and emotional well-being.
Chakra Healing uses focused sound frequencies and subtle energy techniques to gently restore harmony and activate the natural flow of prāna (life force energy).
Practitioners work without physical contact, using instruments such as singing bowls, tuning forks, or vocal toning to deliver precise vibrations near the body. These frequencies resonate with the unique energy of each chakra, much like a tuning fork vibrates in sympathetic response. Because the human body is composed primarily of water, these sound waves penetrate deeply, subtly recalibrating the nādīs (energy channels) and dissolving energetic blockages.
Because the body is mostly water, these vibrations move deeply through cells and tissues, nurturing the nervous system and restoring energetic alignment. Over time, regular sessions can bring about greater emotional clarity, calm, and inner steadiness.
Chakra Healing is a restorative practice that reconnects you to your inner vibrational rhythm—supporting holistic well-being, without the need for touch.
Singing Bowl Massage is a restorative sound healing practice that uses vibration to harmonize the body’s energy and invite deep balance. Just as a bowl creates ripples across water, its sound waves gently move through the body—composed largely of water—releasing tension and supporting the free flow of prāṇa (life force energy).
At a cellular level, these vibrations stimulate detoxification through the lymphatic system and support natural cellular repair and regeneration. The resonance also calms the nervous system, reduces stress, and restores overall equilibrium.
This wave-like experience promotes healing across physical, mental, and energetic layers, creating a profound sense of stillness and renewal. Singing Bowl Massage offers deep relaxation and relief from muscular and energetic tension, enhances circulation and emotional clarity, supports nervous system regulation, and restores balanced energy flow through the chakras—nurturing holistic wellbeing and inner harmony.
Singing Bowl Massage is ideal for those seeking a calming, non-invasive approach to well-being—especially individuals facing stress, anxiety, muscle tightness, or emotional fatigue. It offers a space to reconnect with your inner rhythms and experience balance from within.
Tibetan Bowl Sound Healing is a profound vibrational therapy rooted in ancient Himalayan and yogic traditions. Traditionally used in Nāda Yoga (the yoga of sound), these handcrafted singing bowls emit harmonic tones that create spanda—subtle pulsations of vibrational energy—that resonate through the śarīra (body), manas (mind), and sūkṣma śarīra (subtle body). When played, the bowls generate rich overtones that interact with the chakras (energy centers) and nāḍīs (energy channels), encouraging the free flow of prāṇa (life force) and dissolving energetic blockages.
This gentle yet powerful resonance induces a relaxation response in the nervous system, lowering cortisol levels, calming mental fluctuations, and enhancing the body’s natural healing mechanisms. As the vibrations ripple through the body’s tissues—especially effective due to its high water content—they support cellular regeneration, improved circulation, and overall energetic alignment. Sound becomes not just a sensory experience but a gateway to inner stillness and self-restoration.
In our Singing Bowl Relaxation Therapy with Guided Meditation, sound is paired with softly spoken guidance. As the bowls form a sonic cocoon of support, you are gently led through breath awareness, visualisations, or body scans to deepen presence and connection. This combination of sound and meditation helps quiet mental chatter, reduce stress, and foster emotional clarity.
Ideal for those experiencing anxiety, restlessness, or mental fatigue, this passive yet powerful session offers sanctuary. No effort is required—just openness. It’s a journey inward, where śānti (peace), dhyāna (meditative awareness), and balance naturally arise.
Aura Cleansing is a time-honored practice that focuses on restoring clarity and flow within the body’s subtle energy field—the luminous layers of prāṇa (life force) that reflect our physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual states. When this energy field becomes clouded by impurities, stagnant energy, or energetic blockages, it can lead to feelings of heaviness, emotional imbalance, and vulnerability to external stressors.
The cleansing process employs various gentle yet powerful modalities—including sacred sound such as chanting, bells, and Tibetan singing bowls; conscious breathwork; guided visualization; and subtle movements—to dislodge and release these energetic impurities. Sound vibrations, in particular, have the ability to penetrate and dissolve stagnant energy, restoring the fluidity and luminosity of the aura’s layers. Guided breath and imagery recalibrate prāṇa, encouraging renewed sense of clarity and vitality.
Regular aura cleansing strengthens the connection between the body, mind, and the environment by harmonizing the subtle energy channels known as nādīs, and aligning the chakras with the surrounding energy field. This alignment enhances mental focus, emotional resilience, and physical well-being, creating a protective energetic boundary that shields against negativity and stress.
Ideal for those seeking greater balance, presence, and energetic renewal, this practice offers a quiet return to wholeness—where lightness, clarity, and connection gently re-emerge.
Gong Bath is a deeply immersive sound healing practice rooted in ancient traditions. The rich, layered tones of the gong resonate through the śarīra (body) and subtle energy fields, including the chakras and nāḍīs, awakening a free-flowing current of prāṇa (life force energy). Each vibration moves through the body like a sonic wave, dissolving tension, easing blockages, and rebalancing the inner landscape.
As the gong’s deep and expansive vibrations wash over you, they stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system, guiding you into a state of profound relaxation and meditative stillness. Many describe the experience as a journey into an expansive inner space, where mental chatter quiets and emotional heaviness lifts, creating room for healing, clarity, and renewal.
This sonic immersion supports holistic well-being by recalibrating the nervous system, enhancing emotional balance, and harmonizing the physical, mental, and energetic layers of being. Ideal for those seeking stress relief, emotional release, or spiritual rejuvenation, this immersive practice offers a sacred sonic sanctuary to reconnect with your natural rhythm and inner harmony.
Vibrations realign your inner harmony, dissolving accumulated tension and settling the manas (mind) into a profound state of calm. This creates a sacred space for emotional release and inner peace.
Fosters an inner environment of deep tranquillity to address the persistent mental chatter that disrupts rest. Sound healing helps create the ideal conditions for more peaceful, restorative sleep.
Immersive sound encourages the body to enter its natural state of rest. It guides the nervous system away from “fight-or-flight” and into a state of profound ease and calm.
Sound healing offers a direct passage into stillness, perfect for those with restless minds. The sound becomes the focus, allowing meditative states to arise naturally and without effort.
