Arm Balance
Step into a practice of strength and stillness with Arm Balance Mastery at Rudrakshaa Yogashala. Through guided exploration of Bākāsana (Crow Pose), Koundinyāsana, and Eka Hasta Bhujāsana (One‑Handed Arm Balance), you will cultivate not only physical strength (bāhu bala) and core stability (madhya sthiratā), but also inner steadiness (citta śuddhi) and focused presence (ekāgratā). Anchored in breath (prāṇāyāma) and mindful alignment, this class transforms balancing into a meditative art—inviting grace, poise, and confidence both on the mat and in life.
Arm Balance Mastery
At Rudrakshaa Yogashala, arm balances are not done as performance or for performance’s sake. They are done as sādhana, a purposeful, sacred practice that weaves strength, presence, and self-awareness together. Arm Balances invite you to find steadiness through surrender – consciously developing not only physical stability but also mental clarity and stable focus. This practice is rooted in the yogic principle of Śarīra‑Citta Samatā, or the union of body and mind – alignment, breath and balance comes together
The Mastery of Arm Balance class is ideal for intermediate and advanced practitioners and will open up a new layer of challenge and possibilities in your practice: core strength, shoulders, breath, and awareness have all been prepared. Now, with the body prepared we can jump into the dynamic stability of Bākāsana (Crow Pose), Koundinyāsana, and Eka Hasta Bhujāsana (One‑Handed Arm Balance) with consistency and ease.
The class will take you through a thoughtful and structured succession of stages to arm balance, which will include preparatory work for instruction on alignment principles with hierarchies to support entry. Attention will be paid to breath (prāṇāyāma), bandhas (internal locks), drishti (gaze), and mindful transitions so that your ability to develop physical strength (bāhu bala) begins to build the inner steadiness (citta śuddhi) that gives balance the meditative art.
The Sādhana of Centered Power
Part of yogic philosophy, balance as a state of being also signifies the unification of strength, stillness, and presence. Arm balances call you into this space of balance, the meeting point of body and mind through effort, focus, and awareness. At this intersection, movement becomes a meditation and effort becomes grace.
If arm balances is new to you or you are returning with a fresh perspective, this class is a grounded, and mindful invitation. With no pressure to “achieve”, this a personal journey into strength, steadiness and self-trust from the centre.
Join us for Arm Balance Mastery to discover centred strength, the art of mindful alignment, and the subtle change that arises from inviting balance into your sacred practice.
